The Bachus & Schanker Cares Foundation was honored to support the 2025 Joy & Justice 5K, held at Timnath Reservoir. This inspiring community event, organized by Joy & Justice, brought together runners, families, and advocates to uplift survivors of domestic violence through joyful, healing experiences.

Joy & Justice, founded by survivor and advocate Erica Bethel, is a nonprofit dedicated to creating safe, celebratory spaces for children and their safe parent as they recover from domestic violence. The annual 5K is a cornerstone of their mission, combining physical activity, community connection, and fundraising to support year-round programming.

The event featured:

• A scenic 5K run/walk around Timnath Reservoir
• A Kids Fun Run to engage young participants
• Local food trucks, music, and family-friendly activities
• Awards and recognition for top runners and community supporters
