Each December, the Bachus & Schanker Cares Foundation proudly joins forces with Kenzi’s Causes to help ensure that every child in Colorado can experience the joy and magic of the holiday season. In 2025, our partnership supported Kenzi’s Causes’ statewide Dolls for Daughters® & Toys for Boys® Toy Shops, which together provided 33,892 toys and essential items to 19,558 children across multiple Colorado communities, including Denver and Fort Collins.

These Toy Shops are more than distribution events—they are welcoming, dignified spaces where families facing financial hardship can select gifts that will light up their children’s holidays. This mission deeply aligns with our Foundation’s commitment to uplifting and supporting local families.

Supporting Families in Fort Collins and Denver

This year, our volunteers were out in full force at both the Fort Collins and Denver Toy Shop locations, helping create joyful, meaningful experiences for thousands of families.

In Fort Collins, the Toy Shop held at the Northside Aztlan Community Center was presented by the Bachus & Schanker Cares Foundation, reinforcing our longstanding commitment to the community. The event provided gifts to 537 local children, including a large toy, a smaller toy, a handcrafted wooden toy car, and a stocking.

In Denver, our team joined hundreds of other volunteers to help serve families at the largest Toy Shop location in the state. Their efforts contributed to the larger statewide impact, where nearly 20,000 children experienced holiday joy thanks to the dedication of community partners and volunteers.

Kenzi’s Causes was founded on compassion and the belief that every child deserves to feel valued, seen, and supported. Their Toy Shops embody dignity and generosity, offering families more than gifts—they offer hope and connection during a time that can be especially difficult for those with limited resources.
